You will visit age-old imperial cities which evoke the romantic atmosphere of the book ‘One Thousand and One Nights’ and, stepping back a millennium or so, you’ll imagine yourself to be Queen Scheherazade or King Shahryar. 

You will mount up to join a camel safari through the magnificent sand dunes of the Sahara. And, when you finally chill out on the Atlantic coast, you will well and truly deserve it!

Arrival to Casablanca

You will be greeted upon your arrival at Mohammad V airport in Casablanca, transfer to hotel. 

You will spend the first night at a comfortable hotel. 


Casablanca - Rabat - Meknes - Volubilis

We will start the day with a short visit to the splendid Hassan II mosque: a breathtaking landmark of Casablanca. Then we will depart towards Rabat: the political capital of the country - here we will visit Hassan Tower, Mohammed V Mausoleum and Oudaya Kasbah. 

Next stop is Meknes where we will enter through the large monumental gate "Bab Mansour" to visit Moulay Ismail Mausoleum. The mausoleum is one of the most impressive buildings in the city. Our trip reaches the ancient Roman town of Volubilis where we will have a guided tour before we reach Fes. 

This night will be spent at a nice hotel in Fes. 


Visit the city of Fes (full day)

After breakfast you will meet up with your guide for full day's visit of the authentic city of Fez. The old Medina here offers a real step back in time. Fes is a well preserved medieval city of donkey-wide alley ways and souks. The Medina is encircled by an unbroken line of ramparts and gates. The guided city tour will bring us to Bab Bou Jeloud, the Nejjarine fountain and the royal Palace. We will also get to see the mosques of El Karaouyine, Medersa BouInaniaand and the Chaowara tannery. 

You will spend another night at a hotel in Fes.


Fes - Chefchaouen 

After breakfast we continue via the beautiful sceneries of the Rif Mountains to reach "the Pearl of the North", “Chefchaouen”. We will explore the blue city of Chefchaouen known for its blue-washed walls, a testament to the city’s rich history. Morocco’s blue city attracts travelers and Moroccans alike, both of whom are intrigued by this enticing and unique city. 

The blue-glazed houses and buildings were build originally by the town’s former Jewish population. Chefchaouen was one of the cities that helped Moriscos and Jews who sought refuge after the Spanish Reconquest in medieval times. Moulay Ali Ben Moussa Ben Rached El Alami and the exiles used the fortress of Chefchaouen to fight off the invading Portuguese who were entering Morocco from the north. In 1920, the Spanish seized Chefchaouen to form part of Spanish Morocco. 

You will spend the night in a charming Guest House! 


Chefchaouen – Walking Day Rif Mountains, Markets, Villages - Fes

After meeting with your guide who will give you a short briefing, we will visit the spring of "Rasal Ma" which supplies drinking water to the Medina of Chefchaouen as well as the public washing places and the typical water mills. Later on we head towards the famous Spanish mosque, situated on the top of a hill, which will enable you have great views of the Medina of Chefchaouen & the valley of Wad al Kabir.

After that, we go on a moderate walking adventure to discover a small canyon of the slopes of Jabal Tisuca. Then we will walk through green fields toward the hamlet of Lobbar in order to discover the traditional life of the Rif people. We will have lunch in local family house and have some relaxing time savoring Moroccan mint tea. To end this day we will go back to Chefchaouen (600 meters) through a different path enjoying panoramic views of Morocco's picturesque Rif Mountains.  

Afternoon drive back to Fes for a night at a very nice hotel.


Fes - Sefrou – Midelt - Errachidadia – Ziz Valley – Erfoud - Merzouga

We will have a very early start as we have a full day's drive crossing the Middle Atlas Mountains, reaching the edge of the Sahara. Keep your eyes open to get a glimpse of the Barbary apes en route.

On our arrival to the Sahara desert, there will be a chance to repack where you will only need our day packs with what we will need for the evening. In the late afternoon we will set off for an hour's camel ride to our desert camp deep in the dunes. Your local guides will teach you how to mount and dismount the camels and other handy camel-related safety tips. Be sure to get them to teach you the trick of tying your turban, keeping the desert sun off your face and, as a bonus, will add a little flare to your photos. 

From your first cup of mint tea you will enjoy a warm welcome at our desert camp. A traditional dinner under the stars, cooked by our hosts awaits us. In the evening there will be time to hear stories about life in this region and perhaps, if we are lucky, we might be treated to some traditional music on the drums.

You will spend the night in traditional Khaima tents.


Merzouga (return by camel) - Erfoud -Todra Gorges - Dades Valley - Dades Gorges

Today we rise before the sun to mount our camels. We are about to watch the sunrise with all the shadows and colours over the sea of sand dunes, the highest in Morocco. The we will return to our auberge to continue our trip by car.

We will drive through a stone desert to the stunning Todra Canyon followed by a visit to a Valley Palmery wherer we will have a stop over for lunch. Wedged between massive cliff walls, the gorge is filled with a green oasis of palm trees. This serene spot is great for hiking along the canyon, relaxing on the edge of the river or sampling some local Berber delicacies.

We will drive further to Tinejdad with its Museum of Ksar History, Boumalne and to the magnificent Dades Canyon where we will spend the night at a nice hotel.


Dades Gorges (visit Kasbah on route) – El KeelaM´Gouna - Skoura - Ouarzazate

In KeelaM´Gouna, the centre of Rose Production in Morocco we will visit a Manufacture of Rose oil and Rose-essences and get an idea of these unique products.We travel along the “Route of 1000 Kasbahs” to Skoura with its famous Kasbah Amerhidil and its charming Palmeraie and enjoy a walk around.

Not very far from here we get to Ouarzazate, home of Atlas Film studios, where many films have been shot over the years, including Lawrence of Arabia and Gladiator. The afternoon is free and on request we visit the Atlas Filmstudios. Another option is the visit of the pretty Ksabah Tifoultoute and the nearby Medina.

Overnight at a good hotel in Ouarzazate. 


Ouarzazate - Marrakech

This day we will make our way to the fascinating and beautiful Aït Ben Haddou where we will have lunch. Aït Ben Haddou is a wonderful example of a fortified village called Ksar, with various Kasbahs. Over the years it has been carefully restored and is now considered to be one of the best preserved monuments in Morocco. A few families still call the kasbahs their home, but the majority of locals have gradually moved to the nearby settlement. During our visit to the Ksar you will have the chance to lose yourself in the narrow, winding passageways and feel the magical atmosphere of this incredible structure.

After visiting the Kasbah we will travel to Marrakech with breathtaking views through the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizin’Tichka Pass (2260 meters). 

We will spend two nights at a nice Riad in Marrakech 



Free day – you get to spend it as you wish, on their own. The last day in Marrakech gives the opportunity to follow own ideas for sightseeing and shopping in its magnificent Medina. We will certainly assist you with proposals!

You will spend another night at a Riad in Marrakech.


Marrakech - Imlil Valley (trekking)

We will pick you up from your Riad in Marrakech and drive you to the town of Imlil (1740 meters). Today we set out towards the east. We will walk up winding mule tracks to the Tizi n’ Tamatert (2279 meters) to enjoy the amazing panorama of the surrounding Atlas Mountain ranges. We will have our picnic lunch on the Tizi 'n Tamatert, overlooking Jbel Oukaimeden (3200 meters) and the beautiful encircled plateau. After lunch we set off following the path down to Imnane Valley. We will spend the night in a local gite. 

Approx. 4 hours walking.


Imlil Valley (trekking)

After breakfast, we set off down the Assif Imnane Valley, passing through several Berber villages and then up to the Tizi 'n Aguersioual (2000 meters). Once we pass the col we shall go down more winding mule tracks leading to the village of Aguersioual (1600 meters). Here we will have our lunch before returning to Imlil. 

Approx. 6 hours of walking.


Imlil - Marrakech Airport for departure
